2018 MHRD Rankings of Management Colleges in India

The Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry released the NIRF rankings on April 3. Like every year, MHRD released NIRF ranking list based on their college performance across India. This year, 3,954 institutions participated in the ranking, almost 800 more than last year. Also, Union minister Prakash Javadekar announced that HRD Ministry has made participation by public institutions in the national institutional ranking framework (NIRF) mandatory from next year.

The top five positions have been bagged by IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow and Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, respectively.  IIM, Ahmedabad has been ranked at first place in consecutive year. Out of Top 10 Ranks, 9 IITs are ranked in Management List. This year, IIT Delhi, Kharagpur and Roorkee have once again made their place in the top 10.  IIT Kanpur was ranked at 11th Position in 2017, but this year rankings has dropped six positions to rank at 17.

This year, MHRD is first time announced rankings for Medical, Architecture and Law institutes in the country.
