JEXPO 2016 officially known as Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics admission is a state level entrance exam conducted by West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) each year in the month of April for granting admission into three years Diploma in Engineering programmes in different Government Polytechnics situated across West Bengal.

Official Notification released on- 8th February, 2016
Sale of application form from the polytechnics begin: 15th February, 2016
Sale of application form from the polytechnics ends: 21st March, 2016
JEXPO 2016 exam date: April 2016
JEXPO 2016 Result date – Second week of June 2016
Candidates must be Indian citizen
Candidate age should not be exceeded than 21 years at the time of admission. There will be three years relaxation in upper age for SC/ST category.
Applicant must have done Matriculation or 10th with Physical Science, Mathematics, & English from Central or State Board recognized by Government.
Application Fee & Procedure:
Candidates have to visit WBSCTE registered offices and counters and get the application form after the payment of payment Rs 500/- in cash or candidates can also download application forms and information brochure directly from WBSCTE official website which will require to send Rs 500/- Demand Draft in favor of WBSCTE.
Candidates are advised to fill application form by providing their educational details, personal details, etc. Then paste two recent passport size photographs on the application form and sign in the particular field.
After that, send the duly filled application form with required fess to the concerned WBSCTE office by last date.
JEXPO 2016 will comprise two question papers with a total of 200 marks each with 120 minutes of duration.
Paper 1 will contains questions from Mathematics and paper (2) will be include questions from Physics and chemistry. Questions will be asked from subjects of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Total time allotted for the test is 4 hours (Mathematics- 2 hours, Physics & Chemistry- 2 hours).
WBSCTE will announce the JEXPO 2016 result probably in the second week of June 2016 and at the time of JEXPO 2016 result announcement candidates will get JEXPO 2016 cut off marks and score card from the official website. Shortlisted candidates will be called for JEXPO 2016 counselling process.
JEXPO is conducted in objective mode.
In total the test carries 200 marks. Maximum marks allotted for the section of Mathematics is 100 and that for the physics and chemistry is 100.
Multiple choice objective questions will be based on the syllabus of the Madhyamik examination conducted by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) and shall be in English language with Bengali version.
