The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (AQ-13/1, Sector V, Salt Lake City, Kolkata 70091) is round the corner and here is all you need to know about this exam:

Schedule of Examination “WBJEM – 2016”:

Date of Examination :- 17th May, 2016 (Tuesday)

Biological Sciences (150 marks) 9.0 a.m. to 1.30 a.m. (2 ½ hours)

Physics + Chemistry (10 marks) 12.45 p.m. to 2.45 p.m. (2 hours)

Mathematics (10 marks) 3.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. (2 hours)

Important Tips to crack for WBJEE 2016 Examination  

Practice Textbooks well

Text books are really important for preparation of this examination. Questions in the examination are very similar to the text book questions.

Concentrate More on Syllabus

Since the syllabus is really vast it becomes difficult for one person to cover all the topics in. So, try to stress more on accuracy than the quantity.

Preparation and Revision

Two months before the Examination, revision of the textbook must be done, so that the candidate remains updated with frequently asked questions.

Work Hard

There is no shortcut to hard work. If you want to succeed in the examination hard work is the only resort.

Don’t attempt the questions you aren’t confident about

Try to attempt the questions which you are confident of. This will contribute 33.33 percent of marks. 1/3 rd of marks will be deducted for the wrong answer.

Knowing strengths and Weaknesses

You need to know your Strengths and Weaknesses for any of the test Preparation. This is more important because then you will create your plan to turn your weaknesses into strengths.

Know the complete details of Examination

Candidates must know the complete details of the examination perfectly. First know the details about Syllabus Well, Exam Pattern, Exam notification and Important topics I the examination.

Time Management

If there is enough time for preparation then pick the chapter which you are weak in and work hard on that topic. If the exams are just approaching then leave the topics and concentrate on revision only.

Important Topics under Physics Section

In Physics the important topics to cover are Mechanics and General Properties of matter, current electricity, Electrostatics, Modern Physics and Electromagnetic Induction are tough topics. Generally most of the questions are asked from these topics so these topics required more weightage as compared to other one.

Important Topics under Chemistry Section

For quick and easy revision of inorganic chemistry students can refer NCERT textbook.  First Physical Chemistry along with quantitative analysis and then organic with inorganic part.

Important Topics under Mathematics Section

Conic Section with ellipse, parabola, hyperbola and rectangular parabola. Apart from this Vector, Trigonometry, 3D and Integral Calculus requires more attention.
