Centralized Recruitment MAKAUT

MAKAUT plans for a centralized placement for all government and private engineering colleges in the state of West Bengal. So a government driven single series of activities for the entire students in the state will soon take the place of campus recruitment. All the private and government engineering colleges in the state are affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). The Association of Professional Academic Institutions (APAI) will helps in initiating the process of centralized placement. The proposal comprises of setting up of six nodal centres and three placement offices in major metro cities.

The Vice Chancellor of MAKAUT proposed the nodal centres for placement will be inaugurated in the following places,

And the placement offices will be operated from the cities of Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.

Objectives of Centralization

The centralized placement centres aim at the welfare of students in government and private colleges in the state. Even the students from colleges with the Engineering courses that do not have AICTE approval can also participate in the placement. The University also provides approval for other non-engineering programmes such as BBA, BCA, Hospital management and other media courses. Such MAKAUT approved non-Engineering course students will also be allowed to attend the placement in the zonal centres.

Many multinational companies like CTS, TCS, Wipro, Infosys and many private and public sector units are intended to participate in the recruitment process. They aids the greater part of employment for the emerging Engineers of West Bengal.
