National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is a premier institute of Design, Management and Technology. NIFTs are considered to be the best design colleges in the country. The first NIFT was established in 1986 at New Delhi and today the total number of NIFTs functional in the country are 16 with two new campuses nationwide. It caters to the required of fashion business. It is statutory institute governed by the NIFT Act 2006, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The NIFT campuses are New Delhi, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubneshwar, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Patna, Raebareli, Shillong and Shrinagar.

Bachelor of Design – B.Des: The candidates must have the 12th level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi.
The Maximum age limit 23 years as on 1st October 2017. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Master of Design – M.Des: The aspirants has completed Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute / University recognised by law in India. There is no age limit to study the course.
NIFT Admission Process
The Admission in all courses offered at NIFT campuses is through a candidate’s performance in NIFT Entrance Exam. The admission process for BDes and MDes courses offered at NIFT is a three tiered process comprising of two written tests and a situation test/GD-PI round whereas for other courses candidates need to appear for a single written test.
