The minimum eligibility for the candidates to take up this course is 17 years of age and pass in 10+2 level of Board examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or mathematics. There are diploma courses that lasts for 2 years, degree courses that last for 3 to 4 years and post graduate courses that lasts for 2 years. The students wanting to go for masters courses must have bachelors in that subject. One can opt for full time, part time and correspondence courses in such studies.

Job prospects

  • Pharmacists are required by pharmaceutical companies and hospitals to mix and compound the drugs according to needs.
  • Occupational therapists and speech therapists deal with patients having difficulties with birth defects, physical inabilities and speech delays.
  • Laboratory testing experts can work in laboratories dealing with blood tests, urine test and other tests for diagnosing the illness.
  • Nurses are required all the time to take care of the patients in hospitals and nursing homes.
  • Rehabilitation experts help the patients to get back to normal life without fear in minds and hesitation.
  • Radiologists can work in X ray offices to understand the bone problems by looking at the plates and write the necessary comments.
