Secondary education is very important as this is the basic foundation for the career one will have in future. It provides idea of the subjects one can take in future. It makes an individual expose to all the subjects in the world and helps them develop basic concepts with understanding of the subject. The subjects of study include mathematics, English, mother language, another third language of choice, Computer, History, geography, Science subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Passing secondary standard is of prime importance to be eligible for Higher Secondary education and further.

Students can opt for state Board curriculum or central board curriculum during this stage of education. Both are more or less same with little difference in the methods of learning, subject matter of learning and examination procedure.

It is always advisable for students to complete secondary education with good grades to get good stream in 10+2 level of study. Good results during these courses will make opportunities come fast.


The candidates must complete primary education with good grades in each class. The course duration lasts from class 5 to class 10.
